Complete Wireless Control
The controllers are completely wireless eliminating the need to install a cab bus and plug-ins on the layout. All the train operating, consisting setup, and programing on main functions are wireless. No need to plug in the controller to change trains or program on the main. Wireless covers the size of very large layouts.
Auto Cab Address Assignment
When a controller is connected to a layout an address is automatically assigned to the controller. This makes taking the controller to one layout to another seamless. No more having a list of controllers and addresses. No more having someone to forget to assign a controller address and having control conflicts.
Multi Layout Control
When several layouts are in the same room such as a train show. Each of the layouts can be run wireless without interference to the other layout. A layout search function will allow a controller to be automatically connected to the selected layout.
2500mAh Lithium Ion Battery
Rechargeable Lithium Ion battery allows up to 14 hours of run time on single charge. Note the controller stays completely active with the display on during the running time. It does not go to “sleep” while the controller is on. This allows for instant control of a train. Charging time is 3.5 to 6 hours depending on the charger.
Micro USB Port
USB port allows charging from any standard USB charger. USB port allows Firmware upgrades when connected to a PC. USB port will be setup for using program track and configuration of the command station. (An additional adapter is needed to connect to the controller USB port for program track mode will be available in the future.)
Simple Easy to Read Menus
The controller has a simple easy to read Graphic LCD display with adjustable backlight. Control functions are in easy to follow menus.
The Controller is designed to be modular, so when the time comes battery replacement with other with other parts are easy to replace. We expect to get least 5 or more years from a battery. Battery life is determined on how many charge cycle the controllers go through. The battery is not expensive.
True Advanced consisting
The controller atomically sets the function CVs for an Advanced Consist. This way it is easier to move an entire consist from one layout to the next including the proper functions.
Simple old style consisting
Simple old style consisting programming can run up to 4 locomotives in the same consist.
Heavy Duty speed control knob
The speed control is heavy duty so it does not break from over twisting.
Speed Control is always speed control
The speed control knob is never disabled while a train is moving. For example, while selecting a turnout (accessory) the speed knob is still active when doing this other function. If the menu option can’t support train movement, while in that menu, the train being controlled is first stopped. 28 and 128 speed modes are supported.
No more runaways – Fail Safe Stop
If for some reason wireless communication is lost, controller battery dies, loss of communication between the base station and command station systems. The affected train(s) are stopped. If the train is stopped by the system, the controller speed knob must be brought back to 0 and then back up to resume the train operation, that way trains don’t start without the user purposely starting the train.
Supports Extended Functions
Extended functions F13 – F28, along with the normal functions are supported. The functions are automatically refreshed to the track, so if a train loses power the functions are returned to the current setting once track power is restored.
Up to 24 wireless controllers with no added delay
24 controllers can be run at a time. Each controller has its own specific wireless time slot so adding more controllers to a system does not slow down the other connected controllers.
Very Fast Button Response
The controller is run from an 80Mhz micro controller. The buttons are very quick to respond so entries can be made quickly. Deliberate entering is not needed.
Entire Range Locomotive Address is Supported
Short, 3-digit address 1-127 and long 4-digit address 0000 – 9999 are supported.
DC Mode Zero Stretch is Supported
DC mode to run one DC engine is supported. Note this mode can damage an engine if stopped for a long time.
