John Davey

John is the managing partner of J2C Engineering LLC. John is responsible for sales, circuit design, software design, and customer support.
 
John’s background:
 
8 years Electro-Motive Div. of General Motors, designing locomotive electrical cabinets and computer programming.
 
15 years Design Data Co. owner, designing enterprise systems for small manufacturers.
 
2 years Tweeter Co. designing and selling home theaters.
 
2 years Salco Products Technologies Div. (Manager of Engineering, supervising 8 people.) Our team designed and set up production of an intrinsically safe railroad satellite telematics units used by Dow Chemical, Phillips Chemical, BASF, Old World, and many more.
 
4 years Amsted Rail-IONX Division. Became Manager of its Chicago engineering division after Amsted acquired Salco’s technologies division. Our team of three designed a cellular Telematics unit to replace satellite units.
 
5 years J2C Engineering LLC. Co-designed a tilt sensor (patent # 9,459,097) for use on any vehicle platform. Designed a tilt sensor for orthopedic joint gauging. Our team designed a low cost 24GHz radar for blind spot detection.
 
John has been involved in manufacturing his entire life, having grown up in the family’s gear and tool and die businesses in Chicago.
 

James Pechous

Jim is the senior Electrical Engineer for J2C Engineering LLC. Jim is responsible for circuit design, board layout, and firmware design.
 
Jim’s background:
 
3 years CyberPak. Designed stepper motor control units.
 
2 years Salco Products. Member of team that designed and set up production of an intrinsically safe railroad satellite telematics units used by Dow Chemical, Phillips Chemical, BASF, Old World, and many more.

Stephen Davey

Steve is the Mechanical Engineer for J2C Engineering LLC. Steve is responsible for CAD modeling, mechanical prototyping, product testing, graphics design, website management, online sales/customer support, packaging design (including barcode and trademark acquisition), regulation compliance and SBIR/STTR compliance.
 
Steve’s background:
 
8 Years journeyman millwright, Chicago’s Carpenters Union. From this he acquired experience in automotive assembly lines and robot assembly, turbine and generator systems (gas, nuclear and coal), automated rack and storage systems and many other precision dependent mechanical equipment.
 
5 years J2C Engineering LLC. Co-designed a tilt sensor (patent # 9,459,097) for use on any vehicle platform. Co-designed a tilt sensor for orthopedic joint gauging.
 
Steve is skilled in SolidWorks and produces all mechanical designs and drawings for J2C.
